PASTOR to PASTOR

Galatians 6:1-3 (NKJV) “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”

                                                    VISION

Our vision is to see ministers from various denominations and organizations come together with the purpose of building relationships that will bring us into a place of spiritual accountability to God and to one another.

                                               OBJECTIVES

     ·   We desire to establish a place of forgiveness and restoration rather than judgment and condemnation.

     ·    Our desire is to develop a fellowship of ministers who will stand one with another during a time of failure, exhaustion, discouragement, accusations or any other area of concern that could lead to the destruction of the minister and his or her family.

     ·     We will strive to educate others that the decision of restoration is not based on innocence or guilt. Our stand is based on our love for God, his Word, and our love for those who have given their lives for the sake of building God’s kingdom.

     ·    To establish relationship with local ministers through times of fellowship, prayer, and ministering together.

     ·   To minister in one another’s pulpit and meet with other church staff and leaders as a means of building relationships and encouraging the congregation and church leaders to stand with their pastor and his or her vision.

    ·    To establish persons of accountability in our lives. We want to establish trustworthy people with which we can share our struggles.

                                            PLAN OF ACTION

We will establish a “three fold” plan to spring into action during the time of failure, burn out, or accusation in the life of a minister, which will be implemented within proposed time frames depending upon the individual’s dilemma and need for restoration, rest, or recovery.

    Stage One

To reach out in love, grace, and mercy in an attempt to bring repentance, healing, and complete restoration into the life of the minister.

    Stage Two

To minister to the spouse and children of the minister who has come under attack. This may involve spiritual, emotional, physical, and financial assistance.

    Stage Three

To assist in keeping the church body together and strong during the time of healing and restoration of their pastor.

  • This may involve pastors ministering in the pulpit of the hurting minister. It may include meeting with church leaders in an attempt to bring unity within the body and direction in what course of action to take at that time.

  • Our desire is to keep the church healthy and strong during the transition period of restoring the pastor back into the pulpit or until God places another pastor to lead the church. Our desire is to see the body stay together and not scatter.
